When thinking about menswear, its inevitable that Thom Browne comes across as the first name. Don't get me wrong, when I say "inevitable", i mean it as one of the most important and referential brands. His avant garde gentleman, has created a dioresque new look , drawn by its shrunked kind of suits, savory knits and chunky prints, that reinterpretate formal dressing code as if a new edition dictionary would be.

Cuando pensamos en moda masculina, es inevitable pensar en Thom Browne. No me malinterpreteis, con "inevitable" me refiero a que es una de las marcas de referencia más importantes. Su modernización del caballero, a creado un new look á la Dior, dibujado por sus trajes ajustados, sus jugosos puntos y sus estampados gruesos, que reinterpretan el codigo de vestir formal como si de una reesdición de un diccionario fuera.



In 2001, after working for Polo Ralph Lauren and Club Monaco, Thom Browne decided to create his own brand. He realized that formal suit was being assumed as an everyday attire, and in response to it, he created a collection, that based on tayloring, it breathed a sunday morning aroma thanks to the tennis surroundings he gave to the collection.
On September 8, 2006, Brooks Brothers partnered with Thom Browne for a 50 piece men and women high-end collection, called Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers. The collection appeared on September 2007 and was sold on 30 exclusive Brooks Brothers shops worldwide. After the great interpretation and the knowledge of the client that Browne had, Claudio Del Vecchio, CEO of Brooks Brothers, announced a partnership for another tree years with the designer.

In 2008 he teamed up with Moncler, to launch their men high-collection after the great succes of the brands women's line, Moncler Gamme Rouge (2006). This new line called Moncler Gamme Bleu gave him the opportunity to completely enclose that european allure to all his collections. In 2009 the first collection was presented in Milan.

On January, 2010, he presented his line for women. This line is still anecdotic, though it pretends to grow overtime and it can be found on Barneys New York, Colette, 10 corso commo in Seoul and of course the Thom Browne Shops.

Overall the most important thing Thom Browne has achieved, is to englobe a whole european look on a well assumed american lifestyle, that though beautiful and creative, does not look shocking or out of place. Finaly I leave you with a video of him jogging, that even though it's kind of funny really encores the brand.
